I was at my friend's house the other day. My parents were quite persistent about me not going. And when I did persuade them to let me go, they at least managed to let me stay there as lease a time as possible. I arrived at 12. Went home at 3.
Darn.
I mean, if they [parents] just announced I was staying there for like...2 hours, (First they wanted two hours, but I managed to convince them to change it to 3) I wouldn't have minded so much. But then they started like...questioning me, asking who she was, if they knew her parents, who lives at her house, what race she was, (exactly, I was like..wtf, why the hell would that matter to you?) if she did good in school or not.
All that was going through my head was just...frustration. Pushing the limit frustration. Well, I managed not to say anything rude, but i couldn't help the sneer, the glare, or the tone in my voice. It was just..so stupid!! I mean, come on, if they went to my house, it's not like we're going to kill them!!!
Mom, it's not like every house in the entire world, with the exception of ours has an ax-killer in it. It's not like if you let me out for once, I'm going to return to you dead, or perhaps not return at all!!!
Well...that was the first time I went to my friend's house. In 14 years. Exactly. I am a cooped up person in their little cage. I mean, I know they care for me. I know they love me. But if they want me to be at least a bit happy they should let me out.
Even at my friend's house, she kept calling me, telling me to go home, trying to make me go home before my three hours are up. Grrr
Well, despite the phone calls and stuff....I had an AWESOME time at Kaly's house. She splashed pool water on us. : D It was funny. But since her house has dogs, I think I have flea bites. Like two, so it doesn't really matter. Except the fact that it kills me, since I'm not trying to scratch it in front of my mom or my grandma. I can hear it now.
"SEE, I TOLD YOU, OUR HOUSE IS THE CLEANEST BY FAR, I HAVE NO IDEA WHY YOU WOULD WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! FLEAS AND DOGS AND DISGUSTING LITTLE ANIMALS!!"
My grandma would say that...I'm pretty sure my mom would think that, and put it in different words, hinting that I shouldn't go anywhere because of it, instead of just straight out like my grandma.
I would go to the baby stores and they have little T-shirts that say, "If Mom and Dad says no...Go ask Grandma."
Hahaha, that's funny.
